So I think it's clear by now that I'm all about (playing) dress up. And if I have no where to go, I live in a pretend world where I have an occasion to get dressed up for (not that you ever need one, beautiful clothes are to be worn whenever necessary which is always).
Having all the time in the world because I'm not really going anywhere, improvised and selfied using my beautiful friend Nikon D7100, 1/2 Oscar looks (because you can only see half of my outfits, because no tripod).
I don't watch much TV, therefore I didn't watch the Oscars. But if I had, I would be there for the red carpet looks. And thankfully I got my dose of that from the Internet. Thanks girls and guys.
The Oscars usually are the most conservative when it comes to red carpets, and so they should be as most black tie events are. You are a potential award winner, or attendee, or VVIP, or all 3 first, before you are your own person. Like most occasions you have a dress code to abide to. Which is why I must confess how incredibly happy I was when I saw Chrissy Teigen in a stunning dress with her Eiffel Tower long legs exposed by a side slit. Long slit. Long slit too long. Long slit too long for the Oscars. They said. "Never that"- She said. Go girl! *high fives BFF*
I shouldn't go on.
I just want you guys to peep my 1/2 outfits. Inspired by how I think I would want to look if I was all 3 things mentioned above attending the Oscars. Inspired by Angelina Jolie's relentless slayage of the colour black. Inspired by Kerry Washington's slick hairstyles, inspired by Emma Stone's versatility in every hue she's draped in, and most importantly by dreams, and that woman who reminded you that wherever you are, whomever you are, your dreams are valid. So play dress up, and go to the Oscars. :)
Chaa-w for now. :)
